Bio

Matthew developed a love of acting at an early age in a small town about an hour north of New York City. He was part of the Discovery Center Players. (age 5-12) But as he aged out of that group of “off the shelf plays” He formed the Encore Players so his friends could continue acting. The group did Improv in front of a live audience once a month. During High School he suggested that the school write the play and after convincing the administration he wrote and acted in three plays. A tradition that last past his HS graduation in 2011. In his senior year of high school he ventured into stand up and performed at Comix and Gotham City in New York City.

THE COLLEGE YEARS
In college, Matthew won an EVVY award for Outstanding Writing in Television, and hosted the 33rd Annual EVVY Awards — which took home the College EMMY for Outstanding Variety Show. In College he was part of Jimmy’s Traveling All Stars (2011-2015) aka JTA Comedy. While in college, 2012-2013 he was one of the anchors on Breaking News, Emerson College’s satirical news parody show similar to SNL news.

Flambè Comedy was born out of the college years when several friends moved to LA. The troupe still creates sketches today.
Matthew was invited to participate in the Long Island Laugh Off and was the youngest comedian to make it to the final round. He wasn’t even old enough to drink at the bar.  Matthew worked as an intern at the Colbert Report and FX Network.

POST COLLEGE

Matthew moved out to Los Angeles without a plan outside of fulfilling his childhood dream of performing at the Groundlings Theater, so being given the opportunity to perform in Sunday Company on that stage every Sunday is legitimately a dream come true.

Matthew has appeared in numerous commercials for brands such as Super 8 Motels, SeatGeek and Yahoo Fantasy Sports and voice overs for Penn State among others.
